Q. WHAT DOES "HANDCRAFTED" MEAN?

A. Handcrafted is a term that is used loosely by brands to describe a level of quality and can be interpreted in different ways, so let’s make it clear as to what we mean when using this term. By handcrafted we mean that the patterns for our shirts are all hand made by a pattern maker, than they are cut by hand and sewn by a sewing machine that is guided by the hands of a professional tailor. All the seams are folded by hand and the cuffs and the collar are turned by hand. We do not use any computerized or robotic machinery throughout the whole process. All this adds up to the quality, feel and look of our shirt.

Q. WHY IS YOUR SHIRT LESS EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER DESIGNER SHIRT?

A. Our shirts are sold exclusively on our site and directly to you, our customer. By doing it this way we are cutting out the middle man (the retail store) which allows us to give more to you and offer a high quality shirt at an affordable price + free shipping. It also gives back to the community (we are a supporter of save the children charity), so that everyone wins!

Q. HOW DOES YOUR SHIRT FIT?

A. FIT IS STYLE! We know it, we believe it, and we live by it! Remember - fit is the most important component in a shirt! A well-fitting shirt will always present you in the best way possible, while poorly fitting shirt is both uncomfortable and sloppy looking! We believe that a button down shirt should always be designed to fit close to your body so we developed our own signature fit - a contemporary slim fit with tapered waist, higher arm holes and fitted sleeves to make you look younger and slimmer. (A classic/regular fit usually allow for a 4 -7’’ (10-18cm) room at chest while our slim fit shirt allows for only 2-3” (5-7.5cm), and about 1” (2.5cm) at biceps). We perfected our fit to hug the body like a glove, yet still feel comfortable and easy to live in. We do that with no rear darts, no extra panels, no rear darts or added stretch in our shirts (just how we accomplish this task is our own secret….). This slim fit works for various body types, whether you have a built, slim frame, or some extra love cushions on the middle you are looking to hide, our fit will make you look slimmer and stylish. If you like your shirts a bit more on the looser side we recommend getting a size larger , the shirt will than still fit perfectly but will just have a little more room. In addition to our unique fit the following details are standard for all our shirts:

Q. WHAT IS YOUR SIZE CHART? AND HOW WOULD I KNOW WHAT IS THE RIGHT SIZE FOR ME?

Q. WHAT IS YOUR SHIPPING POLICY?

A. We offer FREE shipping on all U.S. orders for both shipping and returns! We would like for you not to worry about that extra shipping cost so the shipping is on us! For more shipping information check our shipping policy

Q. DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

A Note on Tolerances:
Due to the nature of our fabrics (100% cotton) our shirts may have some residual shrinkage of 1%-2%. This Shrinkage has been taken into consideration. Due to the handmade nature of our shirts, please allow for a +/- tolerance allowance of 1/4 inch (0.65 cm).

Q. HOW DO YOU STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT?

A. We offer free shipping and an easy return policy, simply because we are confident in the design, fit and quality of our shirts and we are sure that you will as well. If for any reason you are not happy with our product or service we will gladly take it back (return shipping is on our expense) for a full refund.

Q. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY SHIRT?

A. Since our shirts are all made to order (from scratch) one at a time and because of the unique and the individual handling of the way they are made, the process takes a little longer. We guarantee to ship your shirt in 4 weeks from the purchase date, although typically our turnaround time is 2-3 weeks. We ship our shirts using U.P.S. ground (out of New York) and that typically takes 3-5 business days.

Q. CAN I GET MY SHIRT FASTER?

A. Yes. If you need your shirts made and shipped faster we do offer an expedited service for an additional $35 (this service is not available for a custom made shirt).
You can also upgrade the shipping method from UPS ground to one of the following priority services of 3rd day, 2nd day or next day delivery at checkout.

Q. WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

A. Here at BOAZ we value your business and your support and we want to make sure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase therefore if you are not we have a generous and simple 60 days hassle free return policy, so If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with your purchase we will take it back and pay for your shipping on your returns and exchanges as many times as we need to make sure you are happy!
You can send your shirt back to have it altered by us if that’s possible, exchange it for a different shirt or size, or just simply return it for a full refund. For all domestic returns/exchanges: Please contact us at shop@boazny.com and we will send you a prepaid return label so all you’ll need to do is drop your package with UPS.
For all International returns/exchanges: Please contact us at shop@boazny.com for shipping instructions. Please send back your item in its original condition. Once we receive the merchandise back we will than exchange it or refund your money back to your card.

Q. WHERE ARE THE BOAZ SHIRTS MADE?

A. All our shirts are handcrafted individually right here in New York City by experienced shirt makers.

Q. HOW DID THE BOAZ SHIRT LINE BEGIN?

A. The BOAZ shirt line began with Boaz’s love for clothes and specifically for button down shirts! As a guy who loves to dress and believes that fit is the most important thing in a garment, Boaz wasn’t able to find a well fitted, well-made, sophistically designed and reasonably priced shirt in the market, therefore as a designer he developed his own fit and started making his own shirts. His shirts drew attention anywhere he went and over the last decade Boaz found himself making shirts for a following of private clients. In the last year he decided that it is time to offer them to you as well!

Q. HOW SECURE IS YOUR SITE/STORE?

Q. HOW DO I CLEAN MY BOAZ SHIRTS?

A. The BOAZ shirts are of high quality and are made to be worn and last! All our shirts are 100% cotton therefore for best results - Machine or hand wash cold, gentle cycle, with like colors. Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry. Hand press with warm iron as needed.
This is all depends on you, your time, budget, and patience. You can either send out the shirts to be washed and pressed at your preferred cleaner, or you can wash them yourself either using a washing machine or hand wash, but PLEASE DO NOT use the dryer. The best way for drying our shirts is by hanging the shirts to air dry. The easiest, fastest and probably the cheapest way is to have them washed and pressed by your cleaner. It cost $2-3/ per shirt and usually takes 2-3 days. The process includes washing it in the washing machine, drying and ironing it so you get your shirt back ready to wear. If your concern is shrinkage, yes this process might create some small shrinkage but nothing dramatically that will affect the fit of your Boaz shirt.

NOTE - Always remember to remove the collar stays from the collar before washing or giving it to your cleaner (they will not always know to take it out), and if you have any particular stains point them out to your cleaner so they’ll know to look for it.

Q. ARE YOU A GREEN COMPANY?

A. At BOAZ, we are dedicated to protecting the environment. As such, we do our best to recycle papers and boxes and to minimize the amount of packing material used when shipping your shirts. We also try to minimize materials such as tissue paper and not use oversized boxes. However, we do what is necessary to ensure that your shirts will make it to you in the best possible condition. But if you have any other suggestions on how we can be an even greener company, feel free to email them to us.
